Tons of Money is a fast moving hilarious farce. Originally one of the Aldwych Farces first performed in the 1920s and updated by Alan Ayckbourn, it has proved to be “. . . a crowd pleaser and unerring theatrical delight.” 

The basic story revolves around Aubrey Allington, an unsuccessful inventor, and his wife Louise who are badly in debt. Aubrey inherits a fortune, which reverts on his death to his cousin, George Maitland.

As George is thought to have died abroad Aubrey has the brilliant idea of “dying” so that he can resurrect himself as his cousin and thus avoid payment of his debts. But in the best traditions of farce all sorts of complications arise which threaten to wreck their plans but provide great entertainment for the audience.”
