Pinner Players bring you Frayn’s hilarious play within a play. It follows the real lives of a ‘professional’ touring theatre company and their production of the sex farce, “Nothing On”.

These tense and emotional actors fumble with bother- some props, very many doors and ridiculous characters. There is also an overworked stage manager, his put upon assistant, and an exasperated director all of whom insist, “the show must go on”.

As well as seeing the sex farce, “Nothing On”, the backstage antics prove to be chaotic, with ill-fated love triangles, misconstrued actions, lost contact lens and the enthusiastic pursuit of alcohol.

True to its genre, Noises Off would be incomplete without a woman running around in her underwear, and … “Whoops! There go my trousers!”

“That’s what it’s all about.  Doors and sardines.  Getting on – getting off.  Getting the sardines on – getting the sardines off.  That’s farce.  That’s the theatre.  That’s life …” – Lloyd Dallas
