Season’s Greetings is one of Alan Ayckbourn’s funniest and fast moving comedies.
As usual with Ayckbourn the play is full of amusing dialogue, hilariously embarrassing situations and manages to be both light-hearted and serious in its exposure of human frailties.
It is Christmas Eve at Belinda and Neville’s house and they have invited family and friends for a traditional family Christmas. Throw into the mix an unattached author who is irresistible to the ladies, an inebriated aunt and a mad uncle and the scene is set for a riotously funny evening.
The puppet show and the round the Christmas tree seduction scenes are not to be missed.
