Habeas Corpus is a satirical farce set in the permissive society of the early 1970s.
It concerns the Wicksteed family, particularly Dr. Wicksteed, and their friends and acquaintances for whom the determination to put sex and the satisfaction of the body before everything else is the ruling passion of their lives!
The characters move and dance in and out through a maze of mistaken identities and sexual encounters with hilarious results.
As Wicksteed says at the end, “He whose lusts last, lasts longest”.”
“Whatever right or wrong is,
He whose lust lasts, lasts longest …” – Arthur Wicksteed
